A Blog I wrote in another Group I found~
Got up this morning and new that today is going to be the last time I got out to buy cigarettes. The idea is bit stressful especially since I didn't plan for it but I refuse topay $7 for cigarettes. Guess there was someone up there that put it all in front of me. My SPirit Guide has big things for me. It's time to stop talking and Walk it!!
I'm going to buy lots of Altoids Cinnamon Mints (I hate gum). I'm not buying an help aids...Just can't afford that either so I'm going Cold Turkey! I will be stocking up on orange juice. I think between the mints and the oj I should not want to eat everything in site.
What I am going to replace cigarettes with is Yoga and I just bought new DVD's for Excercise, Bellydancing, and I have my New Mediatation CD I am going to keep busy with. I does help that I just started a new job so I will be busy. Between today and tomorrow I am going to read all about the EX Plan and stick to it.
Knowing i have somewhere to go to just vent, write, and blog, it does help a bit. I know that I should tell others I am quitting but decided to keep it within my own family (myself, my son and my fiance, we're ALL quitting)..I'm going to wait about a week before I let anyone know outside of us that I have quit since I have tried and failed so many times.
Went shopping yesterday and bought so more healthier foods to take with me to work. I have energy bars (Luna Lemon Bars are my favorite) plus, whole grain crackers, cheese, and lots of water.
I'll be taking my vitamins and I think that is all I can handle. A little bit at a time. To also keep me busy I will be slowly Clearing out the Clutter in my apartment. This place needs a facelife and I just started reading the book House Magic by Ariana and it helps learn better ways to keep your home balanced. So, when I get bored, or want to smoke I will clean out maybe a drawer one day, a closet the next...Small steps and not the whole apartment all at once. That sounds better for me. Plus, I know I will be writing...A LOT!!!!! I'll be writing that Mantra ALL over the place NOPE!!!!!! I will need it!!!!

I have no trouble believing that you will quit. I quit so many times that I never told anyone either. But just over three years ago, I did quit and I quit cold turkey. I haven't even had any terrible cravings and after smoking for 32 years I was surprised about that. So I am one those ex-smokers that know you can do it and know that you will! You have put a lot of thought into this and your plans sound great. You will be so blessed as you work through this! Congratulations on this major undertaking!
